Hi. I hope you have been doing well.
I have been pretty busy lately with my John Deere dealership. My business has merged and became one of eight stores. It has been a lot of work but I am optimistic it will be the right move for our employees, stockholders and customers.
I had the opportunity to attend the Veteran’s Day Celebration in the Harnett County Veteran’s Park. It was a truly moving and inspiring event. I know that I am so blessed to live in America and that those blessings were won and protected by men and women in our armed forces. I sincerely appreciate all of our veterans and thank all of those who fight to protect our freedoms.
Last night, I attended the Republican Party Hall of Fame Award Dinner in Cary. I congratulate all of the nominees but am especially proud of Joey Powell and Abe Elmore, both of our County, who were nominated for admission to the Hall of Fame.
I am gearing up for next year’s campaign. I have tried to serve our County and State with dignity, integrity and hard work. I am going to continue working hard and offer myself to the voters for another term in the State House. I am proud that I have helped bring about some good things and help stop some bad things in State Government. I’ll have a more official announcement later.
I am also sending you a copy of an article from Saturday’s Wall Street Journal. The article is an interview with Henry Kissinger. I found his perspective on national and international affairs very interesting.
As always, if I can be of any help, please let me know. Thanks.
David
