Lewis Announces Campaign Staff David Lewis for NC House Post Office Box 1826 Dunn, North Carolina 28335 PRESS RELEASE DATE: 3 December 2009 Contact: David Lewis (910) 897-8100 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE “Lewis Announces Campaign Team” (Dunn, NC, December 3, 2009) Earlier today, preparing for his 2010 re-election efforts, State Representative David Lewis (R-Harnett) announced the formation of his campaign staff. Rep. Lewis said, “I am working hard to bring improve the business climate in North Carolina and bring more jobs to the people of Harnett County and protect the jobs we have. I’m fighting waste, abuse, and corruption and offering practical solutions to make our State Government run more efficiently. “ He added, “To change Raleigh, and make the lives of citizens in Harnett County better, we must replace the Democratic Leadership in Raleigh with conservative Republicans and fight to make government for efficient, respondent, and transparent to the people of North Carolina” “To help me do the best job possible representing my constituents and building a better North Carolina, I have assembled my strongest staff ever,” said Lewis. Lewis said “I’m proud to announce the following staff who share my commitment to changing the direction of our State: Todd Batchelor, Chief of Staff, began work November 1st. A Navy Veteran, former State Party Staffer, and veteran campaigner, Todd will oversee fundraising, grass-roots organizing, constituent affairs, liaison to the Campbell University College Republicans and over-all manager of the campaign. Charlotte Dove, Community Festival Coordinator, is has managed Rep. Lewis’ participation in Harnett County’s Community Festivals since 2004. Brenda C. Q. Page, Director of Voter Information and Data Management, will begin work February 1, 2010. A veteran campaigner and former organizer with the Republican Party of Florida, Brenda will collect and manage voter information and trends. Chandra Reed, Director of Grassroots Outreach, will begin February 1, 2010. Chandra’s unique team building abilities will be used to coordinate with County Party leadership and take the campaign’s message directly to voters. She will supervise the campaign’s direct outreach to voters. Marie Strickland, Personal Assistant to Rep. Lewis, schedules Rep. Lewis’s appointments and works closely with Rep. Lewis’s State Paid Legislative Assistant, Grace Rogers. All of these positions are funded by Rep. Lewis’ campaign or performed on a voluntary basis. In addition to the campaign staff, Jason Lemons has agreed to continue serving as Campaign Treasurer. Rep. Lewis’ campaign was recently awarded the “Sunshine Award” for properly completing all required Campaign Finance Reporting documentation. Rep. Lewis is also provided a Legislative Assistant, Grace Rogers, who manages the Legislative Office. Rep. Lewis added, “I’m excited about all these high caliber people and all of the volunteers who help us mount a successful campaign every year.
