Rhodes Pond Construction to Begin

Raleigh, NC- Rep. David Lewis (R-Harnett) and Rep. John Szoka (R-Cumberland) met with North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission’s Division of Engineering and Land Management and the Department of Environmental Quality on December 3rd to receive an update on Rhodes Pond construction. Engineers informed the legislators that construction can begin as of December 2, 2015 as the design data for the repair is in compliance with all laws and regulations.   Read more

Lewis to Chair House Select Committee on Step Therapy

Raleigh, NC –House Speaker Tim Moore (R-Cleveland) announced the House Select Committee on Step Therapy today and appointed Rep. David R. Lewis (R-Harnett) as chairman. The House Select Committee will study the practice of step therapy, or fail-first protocols, whereby patients are forced to try and fail on a series of treatments before they are given access to the medication recommended by their physician. Project Timelines Speed Up in Harnett County

Rep. David Lewis announced that as a result of budget the legislature passed a few weeks ago, no less than three Department of Transportation projects will be accelerated in Harnett County.
