Lewis said the following on the endorsements:
"You might recognize a different North Carolina now than in years past. North Carolina’s economy is growing. Since 2013, 300,000 jobs have been created and we have cut taxes by almost $5 billion. Our goal is to lessen government intrusion in North Carolinian’s lives and improve the quality of life for the hard working folks across our diverse state. This is why we raised teacher pay over the last several years and continue to look at ways to grow our economy. I will continue to fight for these conservative principles as long as I am fortunate enough to serve the people of Harnett County. We are making great strides here to free up our economy from burdensome regulations and continue building momentum towards a better tomorrow. North Carolina is back on track; let's not stop here."
Rep. Lewis is running for North Carolina House of Representatives, District 53 and is currently serving his seventh term in the House of Representatives. He resides in Dunn and is a farmer and small businessman.
