I suspect you will burn in Hell for all of your hate, lies, and dirty tricks. Your brazen acknowledgment of your efforts to Gerrymander districts to ensure Republican advantage is despicable. When you meet your Maker and he asks you about it, your answer may be insufficient.

I believe HB2 should be repealed as soon as possible. It is hurting our state’s economy and there is no factual basis for claims that it protects citizens. According to your website, you believe that “focus on achieving business friendly legislation coupled with investment in education will result in a healthy and vibrant North Carolina.” It is clear that HB2 is not business friendly and does more harm than good, if any good at all. I ask that you take action to repeal this hurtful bill as soon as possible. With each failed compromise it becomes increasingly clear that the only way forward is a full repeal. This is the time to put this shameful chapter of our state’s history behind us.

    Rep. Lewis:

Your bald act of grabbing powers away from the new Governor followed by your abrogation of your commitment to repeal HB2 gives North Carolina another black eye.

North Carolina has the distinction of no longer being classified as a democracy by the Electoral Integrity Project based on your despicable behavior, sir.

The eyes of the nation are on you— please fix this.

“When we evolved the project I could never imagine that as we enter 2017, my state, North Carolina, would perform so badly on this, and other, measures that we are no longer considered to be a fully functioning democracy.

“In the just released EIP report, North Carolina’s overall electoral integrity score of 58/100 for the 2016 election places us alongside authoritarian states and pseudo-democracies like Cuba, Indonesia and Sierra Leone. If it were a nation state, North Carolina would rank right in the middle of the global league table – a deeply flawed, partly free democracy that is only slightly ahead of the failed democracies that constitute much of the developing world.”

What you did today in the house is absolutely repugnant. You should be ashamed of your partisan bullshit. You and your Republican cronies disgust me. You are an embarrassment to my home state. Trust me, voters will make you and your repulsive party pay during the next election cycle. Your short-sighted grab for power will be your downfall. Sincerely go fuck yourself.

If you really stated that you would block Roy Cooper on everything he will try to do to help us in N.C., you are not fit to be in office. How can you be so corrupt that you would be in lockstep with the far, fat right-wing nuts that have already lost N.C. millions of jobs and money over the stupid bigoted and unenforceable law that the idiot, McCrory, pulled. N.C. is in the spotlight because of this and you will be if you try to block Roy Cooper on everything he does.

    David,

Two things .The HB2 bill needs to be done away with.I agree about the bathroom but it played into the democrats corner. It also was badly written.

Get Charlotte to drop the ordinance and kill HB2.Unnecessary piece of legislation.

    1. Really going to have tutition set at $500 a semester at 5 schools.?

I worked my ass to get my kids through NC State and ECU.Just finished paying off loans after 10 years.

Now you want me as ataxpayer to suppliment a few schools with my tax dollars after I paid for mine.

That sucks bigtime. How about a refund for me?

    Sirs:

You sent me an email, probably because I am active in politics, statewide.

I support you campaign, other than the disturbing indication on your website, that you favor wind energy. As a scientist and energy expert I call assure you that wind energy is a net technical, economic and environmental loser — so why would your support it?

    Please advise.

I support the Magistrates right to refuse performing marriage ceremonies when it conflicts with their religions beliefs. I believe this will help protect our religious rights that are being slowly stripped away. This will protect our Constitutional rights of freedom of religion. They should not be forced as there are plenty of people that will. As a Pastor I’m just waiting for when the Government says I will have to go against my beliefs. We thought most of whats happening today 30 years ago would never happen. Please don’t let a minority control the majority.

I READ YOUR COMMENTS IN THE W/S JOURNAL SUNDAY. AS A SENIOR CITIZEN WHO JUST COMPLETED MY 2014 TAXES, I WAS APPALLED AT THE DRAMATIC INCREASE IN STATE TAXES. WHILE I HAD A .01 DECREASE IN INCOME TAX RATE, MY TAXES INCREASED. THE REASON—-NO DEDUCTION FOR MEDICAL EXPENSES. DIDN’T YOU REALIZE WHEN YOU HELPED TO WRITE THIS LAW THAT WE SENIORS LIVE ON A FIXED INCOME AND THE LOSS OF THAT DEDUCTION WOULD IN EFFECT BE A BIG TAX INCREASE FOR SENORS? YOU STATED IT WOULD COST $40,000,000 TO FIX THIS PROBLEM, THAT TELLS ME THIS LOSS OF THE MEDICAL DEDUCTION WAS A $40,000,000 TAX INCREASE. WOULD YOU AND YOUR FELLOW REPRESENTATIVES PLEASE CORRECT THIS HUGE TAX INCREASE?

We need you to stand with parents in Harnett county an uphold their right to choose what is best for their own children. Oppose SB 346 and support human rights in vaccine choice. It is not the government’s place to make healthcare decisions and remove choice. This is just a step towards a very slippery slope. The issue here goes beyond a person’s opinion on vaccines specifically.

Could have picked a better location for your Grits and politics. Yesterday’s grill discriminates against lawful gun owners and second amendment rights by prohibiting law abiding, permit holders to carry concealed in their property.
