Rep. David R. Lewis announced today that Greg Gebhardt, a former policy advisor in Raleigh, will lead his reelection efforts as Campaign Director in Harnett County. Along with this key hire, Rep. Lewis is also honored to be hosting a grand opening of his campaign office to kick off the election cycle on Wednesday February 3rd at 10am.
Greg Gebhardt advised Rep. Lewis on tax and election policy while working in Raleigh. He stepped away from his role at the General Assembly in Raleigh to serve on the campaign and manage day to day operations.
Rep. Lewis said the following about the new hire:
"I am excited to announce that Greg is joining the campaign team full time. We have hit the ground running and are looking forward to this primary campaign. Greg is familiar with Harnett County and ready to connect with voters about the positive things happening both across the District and across our great State."
Greg Gebhardt said the following about working with the campaign:
"I have stepped away from my work in Raleigh because I believe in the reforms that folks like Rep. Lewis are advocating for. They take so much time away from their personal and professional lives to selflessly serve North Carolina and her citizens. As a result of the work of individuals like Rep. Lewis, unemployment has fallen from over 11 percent in 2010 to less than 6 percent today. The conservative legislature has decreased the tax burden on the hard working families of North Carolina and started to raise the standard of living for many educators and state employees. The people of Harnett County, including my neighbors in Lillington, need to know about these reforms in addition to knowing that we embrace ideas that encourage open systems, citizen engagement, and bottom-up growth."
When: Wednesday February 3rd at 10am
Where: 1168 N. Main Street, Lillington, NC 27546
More Info: There will be a free breakfast and press are welcome.
